About Local Access

Local Access to Valley Arts, or LAVA, is a nonprofit arts organization based in Greenfield, MA. LAVA began as Local Access in the early ’90s in Seattle—its history is rich!

Who we are:

Theatre artists, writers and educators who believe in the arts as pathways to and expressions of powerful learning.

What we do:

Performances, residences, classes, workshops, staff development, in-service programs, and curriculum development.

Local Access is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation organized under the laws of the State of Washington and registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts doing business as Local Access to Valley Arts. Tax deductible donations supporting our work are welcomed.

The LAVA Center

The LAVA Center is a community arts space, arts incubator, and black box theater in downtown Greenfield, MA. We are focused on making The LAVA Center a space where all artists, including marginalized communities and individuals, can have their voices heard.
