Community herbalist to lead workshop at LAVA Center

Herbalist Patti Williams will present a workshop at The LAVA Center, located at 324 Main St., on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. The workshop will focus on preparing herbs for wellness during the winter.

Williams has been practicing in Greenfield for the past 10 years and is the creator of Earthcraft Botanicals. She is a graduate of the Boston School of Herbal Studies and has been a guest teacher for its apprenticeship program.

The workshop will focus on the particular herbs and their preparations for enhancing health and lessening maladies during the winter, according to a LAVA Center press release. The workshop will delve into their healing properties and the creation of teas, tinctures and balms as delivery methods for nature’s medicines.

Registration is required. Please register by Saturday, Oct. 15, by emailing MsPWilliams007@gmail.com. There will be a $20 fee for the workshop, payable at the door.
