Beautiful Disasters is a monthly storytelling open mic and potluck, every first Thursday at The LAVA Center. All stories are meant to be true, personal stories from your own life.
Doors open and food is served at 6 p.m. Show will start at 7 p.m. Show is pay-what-you-want.
May’s theme! Disasters of Forgetfulness. Have you ever forgotten something important? Maybe an anniversary or your wallet or which brownies were which? Maybe you forgot to show up or forgot who you were? Maybe you bonked your head and couldn’t remember, or maybe you left something in your other jeans… Maybe you have a story about forgetting to say thank you or when you forgot how to act right. Maybe somebody else forgot something. Maybe you have a parent who forgot your big game, or a grandparent who began forget your name. Maybe memories faded or reemerged. Anyway you are thinking, come out and tell a story about it! We will host a storytelling show and potluck (food at 6pm, show at 7pm) where people can share their stories, as long as they can remember them. This program is sponsored in part by a grant from the Greenfield Cultural Council.
