Mark your calendars for a great opportunity to do well by doing good as LAVA’s Silent Art Auction hits the mid-point just in time for holiday shopping. A reception during LAVA’s regular Saturday hours October 25 features a “Meet the Artists” opportunity from noon to 2:00 pm.
Two dozen pieces by featured artist Andy Rothschild with starting bids of “pay what you can” to $50 anchor the exhibit. Another seventeen works by a baker’s dozen artist friends of LAVA round out a dazzling display that ranges from pastoral to whimsical, realistic to abstract. There’s something for everyone. Bid on your favorites or pay the “Take Me Home” price to carry it home on the spot. Buy for yourself, buy for art-loving friends. Help yourself to amazing bargains on original art while helping The LAVA Center reach its Fall Appeal goal.
Artists currently on display are Sarah Adam, Maryanne Benns, Christine Copeland, Liz Feeley, Ed Fitzgerald, Allen Fowler, Steve Howe, Edmond LeClerc, Sarah Marquesen, Andy Rothschild, Rachel Rushing, Adelyn Seney, Nese Uysal, and Lindy Whiton.
All highest bids by the end of the week (2:00 pm on November 1) win, and new art featuring even more artists goes up by November 6 for the remainder of the auction, which culminates in a “Silent No More! Everything Must Go!” closing reception on December 20.
“We are so grateful to all the artists and buyers who are making this Silent Auction possible. LAVA is definitely feeling the love of our artist community, as well as our patrons who are bidding on the art,” Co-coordinator Jan Maher comments.
