Every 3rd Friday, guest speaker(s)/moderator(s) will present a topic for consideration and exploration. All subjects and approaches to conversation are invited, from traditional lectures, talks, slide shows to experiential learning involving the audience in active participation.
April’s Theater of Ideas will feature Ash Goverman’s “Life on the Ice.” Ash shares her experience managing an Antarctic field camp for climate scientists drilling the oldest ice in the world. Ash says, “Come hear about 68 days of the coldest, harshest camping trip you’ve ever imagined!” She is returning to Massachusetts to continue work with her own movement theater company as well as to join the staff of The LAVA Center, where she will become a co-coordinator of arts and humanities programming, so this is a great opportunity to meet and get to know her as she transitions from adventures on ice to adventures at LAVA.
This event is made possible with support from the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) Network, a project of the Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG).
