artist’s statement:
My name is Pauline. I am 35 years old and don’t consider myself a professional artist. I have fun with my art, and what started as a hobby for many years has recently become a small business.
I am a woman in long-term recovery and a mother to two beautiful, amazing children. I have a love for colors and nature. I see the beauty in all things.
Something I hope I am passing on to my children.
As a mom in recovery, I need to find time to fill my spirit with healthy things. One of those things I found was photography. I would wake before the sun came up and drive. I sometimes searched for the darkest dirt roads and highest peaks to get the right shots. When I looked for something to shoot with my camera (just my iPhone), I went with how it felt emotionally. I would snap a picture if I saw something that resonated with me. It brings me great joy to share my pieces with you, and I hope these pictures and art give you a feeling of beauty and pleasure as they do for me.
