The New England Learning Center for Women in Transition (NELCWIT) has planned a film screening to commemorate both Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the late legendary singer-songwriter Tina Turner, who was an outspoken survivor of abuse.
NELCWIT will present the acclaimed documentary film “Tina.” Katri Schroeder, NELCWIT’s community organizer, explained the screening was scheduled “to honor Domestic Violence Awareness Month and raise awareness for domestic violence, all while bringing folks together.”
