LAVA Center plans three events for coming week.

The LAVA Center’s lineup of events at 324 Main St. in Greenfield this week includes:

• The weekly Saturday Salon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. will feature Alicia Cross of Analina Rag Dolls Sewing Boutique and an art workshop for all ages led by Cathe Janke, who is also having her exhibit’s closing reception.

• Lindy Whiton will lead a sharing circle on Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Participants will discuss their historical curiosities and share ideas of what they’d like to learn more about. This event is organized as part of ECHO Greenfield (Exploring and Creating Histories Ourselves).

• Virtual poetry reading and launch of “A 21st Century Plague: Poetry from a Pandemic” on Monday, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m. The anthology includes 70 poems by 53 poets responding to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
