GREENFIELD — Greening Greenfield will present a free screening of “The Social Dilemma” at The LAVA Center on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 5:45 p.m. Doors will open at 5:20 p.m.
The film explores the world of algorithms — the ones deciding what you see online, how long you stay there and who benefits from your scrolling. It also touches on the urgency of the conversation, regulations and digital literacy.
Following the film, attendees will have an opportunity to discuss the pros and cons of social media use and the widening use of artificial intelligence in our daily lives within a capitalistic system that has few, if any, guardrails on this advancing technology.
Refreshments will be served.
