Local artist Susannah Crolius’ Art + Soul community is hosting a gallery exhibit at The LAVA Center at 324 Main St., as well as special events and workshops, throughout October.

Heart’s Desire: A Retrospective Art Show

Exhibit attendees will experience a visual chronology from Art + Soul groups, workshops and art installations in the form of sketches, paintings, altars, fabric art, paper art, collages and mixed media. The gallery is open on Thursdays from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit localaccess.org/art/hearts-desire.

Heart’s Desire Auction

Online auction bidding for a variety of handcrafted items and services begins Friday, Oct. 7 and runs through Wednesday, Oct. 19. Registration and an auction preview is now open. For more information, visit artandsoulwm.org/hearts-desire-art-auction.

Heart’s Desire Celebration

On Sunday, Oct. 16, from 1 to 5 p.m., LAVA Center guests can view a retrospective of art and events over the last nine years by the Art + Soul community; listen to live and virtual readings from Art + Soul writers; hear what is next for Art + Soul and learn about ways to participate; and listen and dance to music by Kate O’Conner and Rico Spence of A Beautiful Future Band.
