GREENFIELD — The LAVA Center at 324 Main St. will present its next installment of the monthly Writers Read series, featuring Poet’s Seat Poetry Contest 2024 youth winners Madison McCarthy, Summit Wicks-Lim and Henry Maxey, on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m.
On the second Wednesday of each month, three writers read from their work, followed by a discussion facilitated by Lindy Whiton. There is a suggested donation of $1 to $5.
McCarthy is a writer who enjoys poetry and fantasy. She enjoys centering her work around crafted worlds, and at least some mention of flowers.
Wicks-Lim is in eighth grade at the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School. She enjoys reading, debate, dancing, playing violin, throwing pottery and writing poetry.
Maxey is a sophomore at Frontier Regional School, and an avid reader and writer from Conway. He enjoys playing his saxophone, singing, reading and writing.
