Submissions sought for film festival

You are here: Home / Press / Submissions sought for film festival

June 28, 2021 //  by LAVA

“The deadline to submit a film to be included in The LAVA Center’s Open Screen Film Festival is Monday, July 5.

“‘This festival will function like an open mic, in that there will be no competitive selection process,’ a press release from The LAVA Center explains. ‘All appropriate films that are submitted will be screened.’

“The film festival will be held from July 11 to July 25.

“To submit a film, fill out the form at bit.ly/3jdYIlh. Instructions on how to send a video file will be at the bottom of the form.

“Films must be made by current residents of Massachusetts, and must be creative projects in their own right, as opposed to live events or performances filmed for documentation purposes, the release explains. The LAVA Center will accept films and videos of any length, any subject and any style.

“Submissions must also be family friendly, the release adds. Filmmakers are asked to rate their submissions using guidelines available at filmratings.com.”
